Youth Music Tutor

Youth Music Tutor

£19,500pa pro rata PT 15 hours per week - join our youth training team as part of the new Youth Music Makers Project, funded by Youth Music

Role Summary

The Music Tutor will join our Youth Training Team and provide instrumental, vocal and music training for young people aged between 13-21. You will work with children and young people at a variety of levels of musical ability, teaching different musical skills to either individuals and groups.

You will help to inspire confidence within young people some of whom may experienced or are experiencing challenging circumstances and help them to develop their skills and identify routes for progression into other learning opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in designing and delivering youth work initiatives and delivering music sessions for hard to reach young people. You will be self-motivated, confident and adept at facilitating young people's personal, social and educational development, whilst enabling them to develop their voice, influence and place in society.

Trinity Community Arts began as a community association formed to open and manage the Trinity Centre, in Easton Bristol. The company is now a charity and continues to manage this unique venue and community hub.

The Trinity Centre is an iconic space providing a unique setting for a multitude of events and activities. A converted Georgian church with a large garden, the Centre is a true part of Bristolian culture providing a mixture of community arts activities and independent live music.

Trinity Community Arts provide innovative projects within a historical setting and have a long tradition of crossing social and cultural divides. We provide a range of arts activities for all ages, using positive expression as vehicle to teach new skills and promote community cohesion.
